Watch the video and read the steps below. It may be helpful to print a copy of Glows & Grows for your pre-assessment! Highlight your Glows in yellow, highlight your intended Grows in green!

Step 1: Use the Glows and Grows columns below as a self-assessment (or pre-assessment) of your current practice. Under Glows, identify the aspects of effective teaching practice that you consistently use. Use the Grows column to identify goals for moving forward in your practice. Step 2: Once you've identified your "Grows", locate the corresponding domain/elements in the The Framework for Teaching Evaluation Instrument or you can just click on the Grow you choose and be taken directly to the goal page.
Step 3: Click on the appropriate Domain links in the navigation bar above, where you'll find research based strategies to help you move toward your goals. All Goal Setting Sheets have printable versions with measurable goal trackers here.
Step 4: Collect data with your PAR (or independently). Progress check...assess your progress.
Step 5: Did you meet your goal? If so, check it off! If not, try it again.
Step 6: Choose a new goal and do it all over again! Enjoy the journey as you Glow & Grow!
